The St. Paul Saints held open tryouts Thursday, allowing players from all over the world a chance to make their dreams come true.

Though it seems like a long shot, Saints coaches know they can find a diamond in the rough--because they have.

Charlie Rudd, the all time Saints leader in wins, was the product of an open tryout.

Not all the attendees, however, had such high hopes--some were just hoping to get the chance to enjoy the nice weather and play a little baseball.

"I have no aspirations of making it, really," Saints hopeful Troy Williams said. "I can't pass this up, though."
