Yesterday, we told you about how a sign alerting people to the fact sex offenders are living in a home on the corner of County Road 14 and Lang Avenue in Chisago Lake Township had been vandalized.
Chisago County authorities have arrested convicted sex offender Leonard Oliver, 33, in connection with the vandalism.

According to a press release, investigators looking into the vandalism "responded to an address located on Lang Ave."
During interviews with residents at the residence, Oliver allegedly confessed to damaging the sign and was arrested on suspicion of fourth degree criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. The Department of Corrections issued a warrant for Oliver's arrest because he allegedly violated the conditions of his release.
Oliver pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a minor in 2009. Chisago County authorities tell Fox 9 Oliver remains in custody as this is published, and is due in court today.
In another development, while investigators were looking into the sign vandalism, Thomas Stanton, the sex offender whose move into the area prompted neighbors to put up the sign in the first place, was arrested for allegedly violating the conditions of his release. It isn't immediately clear what authorities believe he did.
Stanton is also in custody as this is published on a Department of Corrections hold.
