Hyundai recalls over 560,000 SUVs due to defective airbags

Hyundai is recalling 568,576 SUVs connected to faulty airbags in the vehicles.

Airbags in these SUVs "may deploy improperly in a crash," resulting in the vehicles not meeting federal safety requirements, FOX Business reported, citing the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

NHTSA officials explain that the airbags were supplied to the automaker by Sweden’s Autoliv, the world’s largest manufacturer of airbags and seatbelts.

This latest recall comes days after the automaker conducted a separate recall for over 80,000 cars related to a software issue, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
