PLYMOUTH, Minn. (KMSP) - A 7-year-old boy died of a gunshot wound to the head Wednesday afternoon in Plymouth, Minnesota.
According to police, at 3:04 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 6000 block of Shenandoah Lane after they received a report of a victim bleeding from the head.
When emergency personnel arrived they performed CPR, but the boy was pronounced dead at the scene. His name isn't being released.
Friends of the family say the little boy was one of four siblings and that his mother is a hardworking single mom.
The incident is currently under investigation. Police say there is no threat to the public.
