As promised, St. Paul Saints pay up after NCAA tweet

The St. Paul Saints paid up Tuesday, as promised.

After what appeared to be just a publicity stunt, the St. Paul Saints awarded one lucky fan with $10,000 - all in $1 bills.

Earlier this week, the Saints tweeted that if the #16 seeded University of Maryland-Baltimore County beats the #1 seeded Virginia Cavaliers in March Madness, they'll give away $10,000 in a raffle to one of those who retweeted them.

In Tuesday's drawing, a twitter user with the handle @CurtCmckay22 claimed the prize.

The winner was selected from more than 10,000 people who retweeted the Saints tweet promoting the contest.
