Man missing, car found near Coon Rapids Dam

COON RAPIDS, Minn. (KMSP) - Coon Rapids Police are searching for a 58-year-old man who left his home "emotionally distraught" sometime Sunday night.

Sgt. Boone said family filed a report Monday morning that Thomas Ronald Crew was missing. Crew left his home between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Officers found his car parked at the Coon Rapids Regional Dam parking lot around 11:30 a.m. According to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Thomas had a gun with him when he left and the gun was not found in his car.

Family members told police Crew suffers from depression.

Crew is described as a white man, 5’5”, 165 lbs, grey beard, and scruffy hair.

Police searched trails in the area. If anyone sees Crew, they are asked to call 911.
