Minneapolis police are investigating a homicide at W Broadway Ave and Ilion Avenue North.

Minneapolis Police spokesman Corey Schmidt says crews responded to a Shot Spotter activation Monday evening near the intersection where they found a car had crashed.

They discovered the driver had been shot. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say an argument led up to the incident.

Police say the shooting happened in the 2100 block of Ilion and they believe the car then rolled down the hill, hit a light pole and came to rest in a grassy area near the intersection of Broadway and Ilion.

Police arrested two people of interest and will be booked at Hennepin County Jail.

The case is still under investigation.
