Perkins on fire in New Ulm, Minn.

NEW ULM, Minn. (KMSP) - A Perkins in New Ulm, Minn. went up in flames on Sunday afternoon.

An employee told KEYC-TV everyone made it out safely, but crews remained on-scene for several hours to tame the blaze. The fire was under control in about 30 minutes, but windy conditions made it difficult for firefighters to battle the flames. Officials said it appeared the fire started from the outside but the cause remains under investigation.

About 100 people were evacuated.
