Blaine woman charged in north Minneapolis crash that killed 2

(KMSP) - A woman from Blaine, Minnesota, was charged with killing two people after crashing in a Minneapolis alleyway Friday night.

The woman struck one car and flipped the van she was driving, fatally hitting bystander Terrence Odom and killing a passenger. The other victim - a passenger in the woman's car - has been identified as 52-year-old Felicia Dominique Cook of Minneapolis.

Michele Reimann, 47, was charged with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide and one count of criminal vehicular operation for injuring a third person. Reimann was still in the hospital so no first appearance has been set. When it happens, prosecutors will be seeking bail of $750,000.

According to the criminal complaint, Reimann was with two others early Friday evening when they pulled into a convenience store near 2600 W. Broadway Avenue in Minneapolis. The driver went inside the store and when she returned, she saw Reimann driving away in the van with the other friend. The driver later told police they had been drinking alcohol and using crack cocaine that evening.

Witnesses said Reimann was driving at a high speed and crashed in an alley just north of Lowry Avenue near Penn Avenue North. Before flipping over the van she was driving, Reimann struck a car parked in the alley, killing Terrence Odom, who had just gotten out of the parked car. Another man with Odom was also injured. The other woman in the van with Reimann was found pinned underneath the van and died of her injuries.
