Another freeze in Minnesota

It’s the middle of May, we’ve seen 80 plus degrees, but we are still talking freezing conditions.

That’s right, on Friday morning, northern Minnesota was hit with another freeze. While this seems a little unusual and a bit late in the season, it’s not. In fact, it’s right on target. While the metro has long surpassed our typical last spring freeze date, the Arrowhead of Minnesota has not. The last freeze of the spring season usually shows up around the last week of May from Ely to Grand Marais. Some spots across the north could get another one before the month is over as the overall pattern looks pretty cool into the early part of next week.
