Stolen Jeep leads police on chase, crashes on I-494 ramp

A  stolen Jeep driving erratically on Interstate 494 Monday morning crashed on an exit ramp in Maple Grove, Minnesota while trying to evade police. 

According to State Patrol, several people called 911 to report a Jeep that was passing multiple cars on the shoulder and driving at a high speed.

Two state troopers located the car on I-94 in Maple Grove and attempted to stop it, but the driver fled south on I-494 and used the shoulders in an attempt to evade them. 

The Jeep exited at Bass Lake Road and turned to enter the ramp to northbound I-494 when it rolled. Three of the four people in the car were ejected. 

Two of the occupants of the car were taken to North Memorial Medical Center. The other two were cleared at the scene. 

The car was a stolen 2014 Jeep Wrangler. The State Patrol is working to identify all four occupants of the car. 

The State Patrol is investigating possible hit-and-run crashes involving the stolen vehicle.
