Semi causes six-vehicle crash on I-94 near Rogers, killing 1

One person was killed and five others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 94 near Rogers, Minnesota early Wednesday morning. 

A semi heading westbound crossed over the median into the eastbound lanes, causing a six-vehicle crash, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. A 40-year-old Monticello man was killed and another was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center. Four others, including the 53-year-old semi driver from St. Louis Park, received minor injuries. 

Eastbound I-94 was closed completely for several hours while authorities worked to clear the crash. The freeway has since reopened. 

The crash remains under investigation.
