Trailer with 1951 classic car stolen in rural Dakota County

The Dakota County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help after 24-foot trailer with a classic car inside was stolen from someone in Hampton Township, Minnesota earlier this month. 

The theft was reported on Feb. 4. The owner told authorities a Haulmark trailer with a black 1951 Chevrolet Coupe inside had been stolen. The car reportedly has significant sentimental value to the family. 

Anyone who may have seen the vehicle or has any information about the theft is asked to contact Detective Sean Qualy with the Dakota County Sheriff's Office at 651-438-4727. 

The Minnesota Burea of Criminal Apprehension is also investigating the theft.
