Stephen King kicks off Wordplay festival with concert at First Avenue

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The "King of Horror" is center stage in the Twin Cities this weekend.

Stephen King is in town for the inaugural Wordplay festival, featuring several well-known authors.    

Before he joined a conversation Saturday morning with another writer, King and his band The Rock Bottom Remainders kicked things off with a concert at First Avenue. The band features fellow authors Dave Barry and Amy Tan.

The Wordplay festival runs through Sunday.
