(FOX 9) - Snow blanketed the Twin Cities metro and much of central and southern Minnesota Tuesday, causing traffic headaches and early school dismissals.
The metro saw over 4 inches of snow, while southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin saw even more.

- MSP Airport: 4.1"
- Chanhassen NWS: 4.1"
- Eau Claire: 7.7"
Eau Claire, Wisconsin received 7.7 inches of snow, setting a new daily snowfall record in the city for Feb. 5, according to the National Weather Service.
The Twin Cities metro could see 3 to 6 more inches of snow before the week is over and western parts of the state could see up to 8 more inches. A second round of snow is expected to start sometime after the Wednesday evening commute and continue into Thursday morning.
