UPDATE: Michael Jordan has replaced the girl's stolen jersey, the sheriff's office announced Nov. 21.

The Dunn County sheriff’s office is asking for help finding a signed Michael Jordan jersey that was stolen from a home in Rock Creek, Wisconsin. The jersey was given to the family's 6-year-old daughter as part of the Make a Wish program when she was suffering from a life threatening disease.

Police responded to a fire on Oct. 11, which displaced the family from the home.

On Nov. 2, a family member arrived at the home to discover two men with a vehicle behind the house. When asked what they were doing they stated they were “looting the house.” They then left the residence with a garbage can full of items.

After investigation, one man was taken into custody.

One of the stolen items is a signed red #45 Michael Jordan Jersey. This item is particularly valuable to the family as it was signed for their six-year-old daughter who was suffering from a life threatening disease through the “Make a Wish Foundation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Dunn County sheriff’s office at 715-232-1348 or dunncocrimestoppers.com.
