Hospice nurse from Minnesota missing after leaving Denver bar

Members of a Minnesota family have flown to Colorado to help look for a 29-year-old man who went missing Friday after leaving a bar in Denver.

Adam Gilbertson, of Randolph, was last seen the Syntax Physic Opera Bar & Restaurant shortly before 1 a.m. on Friday. His cellphone has been shut off and attempts to reach him have been unsuccessful, according to relatives.

Gilbertson’s family and friends have flown in from Minnesota to help find him. They have knocked on doors and hung up missing persons flyers all over the Denver area.

“The apartment door was unlocked. His keys were on the counter and he has been missing for three days,” Gilbertson’s cousin, Shannon Saesan said.

His family said he called a Lyft at one point during the night and told the driver that he had a bad night and was being harassed.

Saesan also said Gilbertson didn't show up to a yoga class he was supposed to teach Saturday morning. He taught yoga in the metro before he moved out west a year and a half ago to attend nursing school; he most recently worked at a local hospice center in Colorado.

"I'm really scared. That's very suspicious, nothing like Adam," his sister said.

Family members filed a missing person's report and met with Denver police detectives on Monday.

His family created a website and a Facebook page to help their search.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Denver Police Department at 720-913-2000.
