A Lakeville middle school principal is on paid administrative leave after school district leaders were made aware of "allegations" against him, according to the Lakeville Area Public Schools superintendent.

Superintendent Michael Baumann confirmed Apple Valley Police Department is investigating allegations made against Century Middle School Principal Chris Endicott. The nature of those allegations, however, has not been made public.

Baumann told Fox 9 he learned about the situation when he received a call from Endicott and confirmed with Apple Valley and Lakeville police departments.

The district placed Endicott on paid administrative leave.

Endicott became the principal of Century Middle School in 2012 and lives in Apple Valley, according to his bio page on the school website.
