Human remains found in South Minneapolis

The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating human remains discovered near 58th Street and Cedar Avenue in South Minneapolis. 

Police say a person walking their dog in Edward C. Solomon Park called police around 10:15 a.m. and alerted them to the body. 

The body was found partially covered, and at this time police believe another person is responsible for covering the remains. 

At this time police are working to determine the sex of the victim. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
