Before a punch was thrown during a heavyweight fight Friday night at the Armory in Minneapolis, Curtis Harper walked out of the ring before a punch was thrown.

The fighter was disqualified after the stunt, leaving opponent Efe Ajagba with the victory.

According to Jordan Hardy, a Fox Sports 1 reporter covering the event, Harper told her he wasn’t getting paid enough to take on Ajagba.

She said, “I spoke to Harper and he said he walked out of the ring because he’s not getting paid enough to fight and he wants respect.”
