Farmington vs. Eagan play at TCO Stadium to sold out crowd

Tickets were sold out for the first-ever Vikings Prep Spotlight game at TCO Stadium.

The game Friday marked the Homecoming game for Eagan, which took on Farmington.

The game was the first ever high school football game played on the field at the Vikings new practice facility.

It's the first of five games there this season intended to shine the spotlight on prep sports. TCO Stadium will also host Lakeville North vs. Prior Lake on Oct. 12 as well as three Minnesota State High School League quarterfinal playoff games in November.

There were about 6,000 fans at the sold out game.

At the game, Paul Kovatch of Eagan High School and Mark Froehling of Farmington High School were selected as the COUNTRY Financial Teachers of the Game. They received a $1,000 donation to the school.
