Autopsy: Mollie Tibbetts died from 'multiple sharp force injuries'

Mollie Tibbetts, the Iowa college student killed during a jog earlier this month, died from “multiple sharp force injuries,” according to autopsy results.

The Iowa State Medical Examiner conducted the autopsy Wednesday, concluding that Tibbetts’ death was “homicide resulting from multiple sharp force injuries.”

The medical examiner said additional findings may be forthcoming.

Cristhian Bahena Rivera was charged with first degree murder in Tibbetts’ death Wednesday in Iowa District Court.
