WINTER STORM: Twin Cities sees largest snowfall since 2011

Monday's storm left it's mark on most of the metro dropping the most snow we've seen in one storm since 2011.

  • St. Paul: 9.8''
  • MSP Airport: 12.4''
  • Prior Lake: 16.5''
  • Chanhassen: 11.0" 
  • White Bear Lake: 10.0" 
  • Edina: 8.0"
  • Maple Grove: 5.8"
  • Rogers: 2.5" 
  • Owatonna: 17.0" 
  • Cannon Falls: 13.5" 
  • Burnsville: 13.3"
  • Stillwater: 11.0"

The storm didn't hit the area equally though. Parts of the northwest metro got a little more than a dusting, Rogers got 2.5'' while Buffalo received about an inch. 

Many cities across the the area got enough snow to get the plows rolling. Multiple cities declared snow emergencies including both Minneapolis and St. Paul where parking restrictions are in place

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport says they have 11 delays and 132 cancellations today. Yesterday the snow closed all runways for a few hours and over 500 flights were canceled. 

SCHOOL CLOSINGS: Dozens of districts in Minnesota and western Wisconsin have declared school closings both on Monday and into Tuesday. You can check an updated list at fox9.com/closings.
