Brutal cold arrives in Minnesota, wind chills of 20 to 35 below zero

Have you been outside today? It is about to be really, really cold. 

Temperatures have been sliding through the night with wind chills in the metro dipping below zero around 6:00 a.m. and could be hitting around -20 this afternoon.  

Western Minnesota is already dealing with wind chills of -20 leading to many schools closing or delaying their start times.

A wind chill advisory is in effect through Friday morning because frostnite could occur in under 15 minutes.
