Cold temperatures, back to average

Eden Prairie, Minn. (FOX 9) - Think this morning was cold? January is back!

It may not look like it with the lack of snow, but it certainly feels like it. Average morning lows and highs returned today. Yes, this is average! The average low for today in Minneapolis is 7° and the average high is 23°.

However, temperatures will be even colder as we head towards the weekend.  A secondary cold front will bring in another shot of cold air. This means temperatures will be diving to near or below zero and wind chills will be well below zero for majority of the state on Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning. Bundle up!
