For the second consecutive week since President Donald Trump said NFL players who protest the national anthem should be fired, the Minnesota Vikings stood together with arms linked for the Star Spangled Banner.

Two Detroit Lions players -- Jalen Reeves-Maybin and Steve Longa -- took a knee, while their Detroit teammates stood with arms linked.

Vikings owners Zygi and Mark Wilf and general manager Rick Spielman joined players in locking arms last week against Tampa Bay. The Wilfs have said they support the right of Vikings players to "respectfully and peacefully express their beliefs." No Vikings players ended up taking a knee last week or this week.

On Saturday, President Trump tweeted, “Very important that NFL players STAND tomorrow, and always, for the playing of our National Anthem. Respect our Flag and our Country!”

Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton has said he feels athletes should focus on fighting causes rather than kneeling, but respects their first amendment right.
