UPDATE: The Twins announced Thursday that the second round of $5 flash sale tickets sold out.

The Minnesota Twins are offering $5 tickets for select seats for their remaining 12 home games in May.

According to the Twins website, the new $5 tickets are Ballpark Access, or standing room-only. You can buy those tickets at https://www.mlb.com/twins/tickets/flash-sale

The new flash sale came after the first one sold out.

“With the tremendous response by Twins fans to yesterday’s flash sale, we are excited to provide additional Target Field access to watch their American League Central-leading club and build the best home field advantage in baseball,” said Twins President & CEO Dave St. Peter.

Initially, the $5 tickets were only for the U.S. Bank Home Run Porch View seats and the Grandstand, which means there are about 3,500 tickets available at that price per game. Those tickets quickly sold out.

Some fans were left confused, however, as the Twins advertised that the $5 tickets would have no processing fees, although some fans reported seeing a $4 processing fee when going to purchase tickets.

Matt Hodson, communications manager for the Twins, said fans need to make sure they are on the right website for the flash sale, twinsbaseball.com/flashsale. If a fan is seeing a $4 processing fee, they are in the wrong spot.

Fans may also see an optional $5 donation to the Twins Community Fund, but Hodson said it is not added to the cart unless the person wants to support the community fund and hits “add to cart.”

The Twins are currently in first place.
