Free Super Bowl LIVE concert lineup revealed

The full schedule of performers who will play free concerts at Super Bowl LIVE has finally been revealed. Super Bowl LIVE is the 10-day festival along Nicollet Mall that will be free and open to the public. 

Super Bowl LIVE has been curated by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The Verizon Up Stage at Ice Mountain will formally open on Friday, Jan. 26 with Idina Menzel performing the song “Let It Go,” from the Disney movie Frozen. Hometown favorite Cynthia Johnson will take the stage next to sing Funkytown with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Super Bowl LIVE opens at 4 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 27 will feature Minnesota's hip hop scene, and Monday, Jan. 29 will be a Salute to Prince with performances by The Revolution, Sheila E., Morris Day and the Time, as well as a community sing-along of Purple Rain and other Prince favorites.

VISITOR GUIDE: In order to ensure the safety of guests and the continued flow of pedestrian traffic along Nicollet Mall, there will be a designated concert viewing area in front of the Verizon Up Stage at Ice Mountain. Entry to the viewing area will open each day at the same time as Super Bowl LIVE presented by Verizon. Fans will not be allowed to wait in line prior to that time for entry.  There are two entries to the concert viewing area: on Nicollet Mall between 8th and 9th, and on 8th Street between Nicollet and Marquette. All who enter the concert viewing area are subject to additional security screening, including hand-held metal detectors and bag checks. A list of prohibited items is available at mnsuperbowl.com. Audio and screens will be available along Nicollet Mall for additional viewing.
