Minneapolis cab driver charged with sexually assaulting a passenger

A cab driver in Minneapolis is being charged for sexually assaulting a passenger earlier this month. Golden Valley Police identified the driver as 58-year-old Kiumars Farbakhsh of North Oaks, Minn.

The female passenger told Golden Valley Police she was taking a cab home from a night out in Minneapolis on August 8 when they stopped at a nearby gas station so she could get cash.

The victim told police she was intoxicated at the time and blacked out shortly after returning to the cab but remembered Farbakhsh sexually assaulting her and attempting to take her cash.

The cab was stopped near JJ’s Clubhouse on Wayzata Boulevard in Golden Valley.  Police identified Farbakhsh from surveillance video of the area where the sexual assault took place.

Farbakhsh is being charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct.
