A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for southern Minnesota from noon Saturday to noon Sunday, with about 2-4 inches of snow expected.

The snow will arrive from south to north through the afternoon, likely getting into the metro by late in the day and then will hang around through the evening and overnight. The heaviest of the snow will come before Midnight with only minor accumulations in the overnight hours.

Winds will be gusty as well, so blowing and drifting snow could add to the travel issues.

The heaviest snow will stay in southern Minnesota where a Winter Storm Warning has been issued for widespread amounts of 4-8 inches, but some spots may see about 10 inches.
