Subzero wind chills expected for Super Bowl weekend

Bundle up, Bold North! A wind chill advisory is in place for the northern half of Minnesota and Wisconsin through noon Thursday.

Wind chills from 20 degrees below zero to 30 below are expected at times Thursday morning across central Minnesota into west central Wisconsin. 

With temperatures below zero and northwest winds of 10-15 miles per hour, it will feel like 25 to 35 degrees below zero across areas north and east of the Twin Cities. The cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 20-30 minutes to exposed skin. 

If you are visiting for the Super Bowl – remember to dress appropriately for the weather, keep extremities covered and limit time outdoors. Subzero wind chills are expected to continue throughout the weekend.
