Minnesotans love any chance to out and enjoy the great weather. Thanks to a recent solar flare late last month, it looks like we will get another chance to check out the Northern Lights. The peak of the activity is forecasted for t Thursday, Sept. 3. The ACTIVE pattern will wain to MODERATE as we head into the weekend. It's actually good timing as a few more storms could cloud up the skies this Labor Day Weekend. Check out the slideshow above and enjoy what the heavens have to offer over the next few days. A great resource for when the Northern Lights may shine again is actually courtesy of my Alma Mater, the University of Alaska Fairbanks, check it out at  http://www.gi.alaska.edu/AuroraForecast.

We would love to see your weather photos! Please email them to photos@fox9.com.
