A few Twin Cities Thanksgiving weather facts

Thanksgiving 2015 welcomed the first measurable snow, 1/10 of an inch or more, to the Twin Cities. This day of feast and family is also a day of weather extremes. In the metro on Thanksgiving, we have seen temperatures as warm as the 60s with lows way down into the teens below zero. We have spent past Turkey Days shoveling snow and dodging raindrops. On average there is about an inch of snow on the ground with temperatures near 32°. So, in a way, after a not so normal fall, we are having a normal Thanksgiving.
