For many Minnesotans, it was still a pretty nice Saturday with the Twin Cities metro actually staying dry until the dinner hour. But the storms rolled through after that putting down some impressive numbers in short period of time. While the west metro only saw an isolated storm, a broken line of rain congealed into a solid line of very heavy rain as it pushed through the metro leaving parts of the east side with over an inch in under an hour.
Statewide it was a little different. A good steady soaking rain for much of the north, but a more prolonged heavy rain scenario for parts of the south leaving some spots over 2 inches of water. Here are some of the totals… remember that you backyard totals can and will vary greatly.
