By Monday night, Xcel Energy reported 5,400 customers were still experiencing power outages due to the storm. Since outages began Sunday morning, more than 165,000 customers were impacted and crews restored power to nearly 131,000 customers.

According to a release, more than 500 Xcel Energy employees and contractors are working to restore power. The heavy rain and high winds knocked down trees and damaged power lines, causing widespread outages.

Xcel Energy wrote that "unfortunately, due to the extensive damage to the grid, we expect that outages from this storm will take considerable time to repair and some customers may experience an extended, multiple day outage."

The City of Coon Rapids reported that they had to bring out snow plows to clear the roads of large hail.

Severe thunderstorm warnings expired for Hennepin, Dakota, Scott, Anoka and Ramsey County at 9:15 a.m., and remain until noon for east central Minnesota, as well as Dunn, St. Croix, Barron and Polk counties in Wisconsin.
