Snow cover finally arrives to much of the region

- What a difference a week can make.  In just a weeks’ time, much of the Upper Midwest has gone from snowless and mild for December, to several inches of snow cover and more typical winter style temperatures.  A couple different storm systems dropped some much needed snow and much of the region is finally snow covered.  Check out the differences across Minnesota over the last week…

Much of central and southern Minnesota has gone from near zero snow on the ground, running just 5% of average, to a widespread 6 to 10 inch snow cover with parts of the I-90 corridor in the 80th percentile for snow to start a new year.
