Minneapolis, MN KMSP - It was a day late for an official "White Christmas", but the metro and most of Minnesota received its first significant snow of the season, or at least the first fresh and clean blanket of snow. So far this season, the metro has accumulated a measly 9 inches of the white stuff. The normal amount of snow to date is around 19", so as you can see, we are in a deficit for the 2015-2016 winter season. The heaviest amounts of snow were found in Southwestern Minnesota where up to 8" fell around Redwood Falls. Officially,at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, 2.3" was recorded in the record books. Browse through the slideshow above for more on Saturday's snowfall.
