RAIN TOTALS: Hefty rains fall on parts of Minnesota...again

- Another round of heavy rain strikes southern Minnesota and parts of the metro.  It sounds like a broken record, and it kind of is.  Much of the area ended the summer months (considered to be June, July, and August) well above average.  We had a nice dry spell for a few days, and then back to “normal” we went on Thursday.  Rainfall ranged from about a half inch in the northwest metro, to nearly 2 inches in parts of the southwest metro.  Parts of southern Minnesota though had locally over 3 inches of rain.  Here are some of the totals… your backyard measurements will vary…
