Minneapolis, MN KMSP - First it was October 17th, when we checked off our first freezing temperature of the season with a low of 31°. However, that cold did not stick around and we continued to enjoy a fabulous fall. Yes, I said fabulous. We knew the great weather could not last forever and we would eventually see temperature fall into the twenties. Thanks to our strong cold front that rushed through on Wednesday, we now have two more milestones to check off our list, and one of them is a record! We hit 30° on November 19th, and that is now the latest date that the Twin Cities has gone before hitting, or going below 30°. Last year we went to 30° or colder on Halloween with a low temp of 26°.
Now, lets talk 20s! It was November 19, that we went into the 20s for the first time this season. Last year we saw our first low in the 20s on Halloween. That is almost 3 weeks earlier than this year. These number by themselves may not seem that significant, but they are adding up to one mild start to the 2015-2016 fall and winter seasons. Check out the slide show above and stay warm everyone.
