A bait car was stolen early Tuesday morning in St. Paul, the driver to be arrested once he's out of the hospital.

Around 2:30 a.m., St. Paul police were notified a bait car parked on the street had been activated. Squads pursued the car onto I-94 westbound at high speeds until the driver exited onto Cretin Avenue and crashed into a cement bench, a parked car and a gas pump at a station on the corner of Marshall and Cretin avenues.

The suspect exited the car and was taken into custody, but was later transported to Regions Hospital for an unknown medical emergency. His identity has not been released.
