Wild win Game 3 on home ice, snapping 7-game streak

Game 3 started with signs of Dallas inching closer to a sweep. The Stars got a few goals right out of the gate, leaving 18,000 Minnesota Wild fans holding their breath. But in the end, the Wild found the back of the net 5 times to pick up a playoff win in front of the home crowd.

Wild captain Mikko Koivu scored the game winner in the third period, giving the Wild a 5-3 comeback win. The Game 3 win snaps a 7-game Wild losing streak – the team’s first win since March.

"I think it comes from the energy of the crowd, you want to put your best foot forward for them,” Wild forward Chris Porter said. “Down the stretch we weren’t playing our best hockey in front of them – again, not the start we wanted. But when you get those goals, you want to be excited.”
