This weekend, Team Tucker kicks off the first of many free Tucker sandlot games in his honor.

Tucker Helstrom never let his rare form of bone cancer get him down. Even when it took his leg, he kept playing sports. Last July, Tucker lost his battle with osteosarcoma. Now, his mother Dana is making sure his spirit wins forever.

Team Tucker kicks off its first of many sandlot games on Sunday in Hopkins.

Kids of all economic, cultural and social backgrounds can play for free.

They get a t-shirt, baseball, and glove to keep as well as a healthy meal after.

Wild forward Jason Zucker and his wife, Carly Aplin, were close to Tucker and are helping his spirit live on.

On Saturday, there will be a fundraiser for the sandlot games at Seven Steakhouse and Sushi with Zucker, his teammates and other celebrities, including Vikings’ Kyle Rudolph.
