ST. Paul, Minn. (KMSP) - The St. Paul Saints baseball team honored the Saints hockey team Monday night at CHS Field.
Former players were introduced, including former Saints star and now Minnesota Wild head coach Bruce Boudreau.
Boudreau had the honor of throwing out the first pitch and made sure to get his throw close enough to home plate.
He said even though he was with the Saints for only one year, it was a memorable one.
"I had a lot more hair, that's one thing and probably a couple pounds lighter," said Boudreau. "What I remember is we were a really tough team. It was very much like the Slapshot movie in that we might have had the toughest team in the league - and by the way I was not one of them. But that's what I remember. We had colorful uniforms. We had some talented players, but we were a pretty aggressive team on the ice."
