The Vikings submitted design guidelines and specific plans to the City of Eagan on Thursday for their proposed new headquarters. The 194-acre site would be more than twice the size of the team’s existing Winter Park headquarters in Eden Prairie.

According to Vikings PR, the expanded facility would allow all employees to work under one roof; currently, they’re split between three locations. The proposal includes an indoor practice facility, multiple grass fields, and a nearly 6,000-seat stadium that could be expanded to 10,000 seats.

“The Vikings would like the stadium to be an asset for the team and community, a venue for public and civic events and athletics,” the Vikings stated. “It could be used to host ‘Friday Night Lights’ high school games of the week, soccer, lacrosse. A hockey rink, perhaps, could be placed on the sports turf surface.”
