Construction of the U.S. Bank Stadium roof resumed Friday morning, more than 2 weeks after one worker died and another was seriously injured. Berwald Roofing employees will wear hard hats featuring a decal in memory of Jeramie Gruber, and Vikings players have been wearing a “JG” sticker on their helmets.

“The decals read ‘Forever Our Brother’ and include images of a bear, fish and bow hunter in celebration of Jeramie’s love of the outdoors,” Berwald Roofing said in a statement. “We have continued to feel the loss of an exceptional employee and offer our sincerest condolences to Jeramie Gruber’s family and friends.”

Gruber, 35, of Northfield, Minn. died after falling 50 feet from the new Minnesota Vikings stadium on the morning of Aug. 26. OSHA is still investigating the circumstances of the accident.
