AP smothered, but Vikings notch 16-10 win

The game ended up being a cliffhanger for the Vikings and Chiefs at TCF Bank Stadium on Sunday, and while Minnesota ultimately pulled out a 16-10 victory, a few notable rookies made a big impact.

Rookie defensive end Daniele Hunter played fantastically in his start for Everson Griffen with four tackles and assisted a half sack, plus a forced fumble basically sealing the deal, the defense holding Kansas City to 57 yards on 18 carries.

While the Chiefs smothered Adrian Peterson and the running game, limiting Peterson to just 60 yards on 26 carries, the silver lining was it opened up the passing game.  Rookie Stefon Diggs had a career day -- seven catches for 129 yards.
