Vikings alone in first place after win in Oakland, Packers loss

- With a win in Oakland and a Packers loss, the Minnesota Vikings find themselves in a place they haven't been in a while -- sole possession of first place in the NFC North.

The Vikings haven't won 3 straight on the road since the Brett Favre era, and we know how far the Vikings went that year. It's too early to tell if this team has that kind of potential, but with 5 straight wins under their belt, it appears they are certainly headed in the right direction.

The Raiders took an early lead Sunday afternoon, but the Vikings were on top by halftime and there was no looking back. With a 30-14 win, the Vikings are now 7-2.

The Packers come to Minneapolis next Sunday.
