EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (KMSP) - Nike terminated its contract with Adrian Peterson after the Minnesota Vikings running back entered a no contest plea to reckless assault in his Texas child abuse case. But now that Peterson is back on the field, the endorsements are starting to come back.
“I’m with Adidas now,” Peterson said Thursday, wearing his purple No. 28 jersey with a Nike swoosh. “I’m mostly focused on football and handling business. Everything else will work out.”
When asked if he noticed the endorsement opportunities returning, Peterson gave the following response:
“I really haven’t been paying attention. I get a couple of texts from my marketing guys, saying different things. I’ll just look at it and go about my day. It’s not really a big deal to be honest with you.”
