LAKEVILLE, Minn. (KMSP) - The Lakeville South volleyball team is making a pitch for the SportsCenter Top 10 after an amazing double-kick save helped win a point against Apple Valley in Thursday night’s match. Team parent Todd Strong captured the highlight of the season on video.
A right-front attack by junior captain and UCLA commit Jenny Mosser was met by a pair of Apple Valley blockers. The point was saved by a rapid double kick from sophomore Cam Strong and senior captain Allie Case. With Apple Valley prematurely celebrating the point, junior captain and Iowa commit Halle Johnston finished the improbable play with a diving, one-handed pass over the net.
Lakeville South won the match 3-1. Good luck to the Cougars and Eagles on the rest of the season!
