Flip Saunders' wife to present check at Wolves-Rockets game
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Debbie Saunders, the wife of late head coach Flip Saunders, will present a check to the Timberwolves & Lynx Basketball Academy at Target Center during the second to last home game of the season on Monday.
The $6,000 check will be presented on behalf of the Flip Saunders Legacy Fund to allow area youth with financial hardship to attend a Timberwolves or Lynx basketball camp or clinic.

“Flip was always very passionate about growing the game of basketball in this area, so this donation is a way to have an impact on the sport locally,” said Debbie Saunders. “Flip loved working with kids, so I can’t think of a better avenue to help honor his memory than to give kids an opportunity to experience the fun and instruction that comes from one of the Timberwolves Academy camps or clinics.”
